Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 19, 2026
Last Updated: May 17, 2026
1. Introduction
Signo Research Group LLC ("Signo," "we," "our," or "us") operates the website located at signoresearchgroup.com (the "Site") and, together with its affiliate Azazel_ver1.0.0 LLC, produces events sold through the Site (each, an "Event"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you access the Site, purchase or claim a ticket, or attend an Event.
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect from residents of the United States. By using the Site, purchasing or claiming a ticket, or attending an Event, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Site and do not provide personal information to us.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- Personal information collected through the Site;
- Personal information collected at check-in and during Events;
- Personal information received from third-party service providers in connection with the operation of the Site and Events;
- Personal information we collect through our email and support communications.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, or platforms linked from or referenced by the Site, even when accessed through a link from the Site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and you should review their privacy policies independently.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide to Us
Account registration:
- Your full name
- Your mobile phone number
- Consent to receive one-time verification codes by SMS
- Optional consent to receive marketing SMS (event updates and announcements), captured via the dedicated opt-in checkbox on either the participation form or the ticket-claim form. When affirmatively given, this consent is stored with a timestamp (
sms_consent_at) and method indicator (sms_consent_method = 'web_form').
Ticket transfers:
- If you claim a transferred ticket: your name, phone number, consent to our Terms and this Privacy Policy, and optionally your consent to receive marketing SMS
At Event check-in (required for Event entry and, where applicable, participation in any on-site game or interactive activity):
- Your phone number
- A self-selected alias or "gamer tag"
- Team selection (where applicable)
- Participation identifier linked to an interactive component of the Event
Communications:
- The content of any messages you send us, including email and support requests
3.2 Information We Receive From Payment Providers
When you purchase a ticket, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not receive your full payment card number, CVV, or bank account number. Stripe transmits to us only:
- A confirmation that the charge succeeded;
- The amount charged;
- A transaction identifier;
- Limited metadata needed to associate the transaction with your account (such as the last four digits of the card used, the card brand, and the country of the card issuer).
Your full payment details are handled directly by Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy (available at stripe.com/privacy).
3.3 Information We Receive From Phone Verification Providers
When you complete phone verification, Twilio, Inc. transmits to us:
- A confirmation that the verification code was correctly entered;
- Metadata about the verification event (such as timestamp and delivery status).
We do not receive your SMS message contents beyond what is necessary to confirm verification. Your phone verification is subject to Twilio’s Privacy Policy (available at twilio.com/legal/privacy).
3.4 Information Collected Automatically
When you access the Site, we automatically collect:
- A session identifier cookie set on your device following successful phone verification, used to authenticate your access to your account and tickets;
- Technical information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and the pages you visit on the Site;
- Server logs of requests to the Site, retained for security and operational purposes.
We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, session-replay tools, or cross-site tracking technologies. If we add any such technologies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy.
3.5 Information We Do Not Collect
Unless you voluntarily provide it to us, we do not collect:
- Your email address (except where you contact us by email);
- Your physical address;
- Your date of birth (beyond your representation that you are 18 or older);
- Your social security number, driver’s license number, or other government-issued identifier;
- Your biometric information;
- Your precise geolocation;
- Your political, religious, or health information.
Government-issued photo identification may be inspected at Event entry by our staff or contracted security personnel. We do not scan, photograph, or electronically store identification documents unless explicitly disclosed to you at the time.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and as reasonably necessary to operate our business. Specifically, we use personal information to:
(a) Create and maintain your account, including authenticating you via phone verification and associating tickets with your account;
(b) Process ticket purchases and transfers, including coordinating with Stripe to process payments and with Twilio to verify phone numbers;
(c) Deliver tickets to your account and verify ticket validity at Event check-in;
(d) Enable participation in any on-site games or interactive components associated with the Event;
(e) Communicate with you about your account, transactions, and the Event, including by SMS one-time codes and by email if you contact us;
(f) Detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms or applicable law;
(g) Comply with legal obligations, including tax, accounting, anti-money-laundering, and record-keeping requirements;
(h) Exercise or defend legal claims, including in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other valid legal process;
(i) Improve and maintain the Site and our services, including diagnosing technical issues and understanding aggregate usage patterns.
We do not use your personal information for targeted advertising, sell your personal information to third parties, or share it with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
5. SMS and Phone Verification
5.1 Scope of SMS Communication
Our SMS communication operates in two distinct categories:
Transactional SMS (sent to all users with a registered phone number): One-time verification codes delivered through Twilio Verify in direct response to user-initiated actions, including:
- Creating an account;
- Signing into an existing account;
- Claiming a transferred ticket.
Optional marketing SMS (sent only to users who affirmatively opt in): Recurring text messages about events, updates, and announcements from Signo Research Group. These messages are sent only to users who have checked the dedicated SMS opt-in checkbox during either the participation flow or the ticket-claim flow. Consent for marketing SMS is separate from consent to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and is not required to create an account, verify a phone number, or purchase tokens. Users who do not check the marketing opt-in checkbox receive only transactional SMS as described above.
5.2 Message Frequency
Transactional SMS frequency is limited to verification events you initiate. Typical frequency is one or two messages per login or ticket-claim event.
Marketing SMS frequency (for opted-in users only) varies based on event scheduling and announcement cadence — typically a small number of messages per active event cycle.
5.3 Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply, based on your carrier plan. We do not charge a fee for SMS messages, but your carrier may.
5.4 Opt-Out
To opt out of marketing SMS: Reply STOP to any marketing message. This stops all future marketing messages but does not affect your account access, your ability to receive verification codes, or your ability to purchase tokens. You may opt back in later by checking the SMS opt-in checkbox during a future participation flow.
To opt out of transactional SMS (verification codes): Also reply STOP. Note that doing so will prevent future phone verification and, as a consequence, may prevent you from accessing your account or claiming transferred tickets through phone-based authentication.
For assistance, reply HELP.
5.5 SMS Data Sharing
We do not share or sell SMS opt-in data — including phone numbers, consent timestamps, or consent method indicators — with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data is used solely to operate the SMS messaging program described in this section. Phone numbers may be processed by our SMS service provider (Twilio) strictly for the purpose of message delivery, under Twilio’s own contractual privacy obligations as a service provider.
5.6 SMS Carriers and Transmission
SMS delivery depends on your mobile carrier. We are not responsible for delays, failures, or errors in SMS delivery attributable to carrier infrastructure.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
6.1 Types of Cookies Used
The Site uses a single first-party session cookie (user_id) set after you complete phone verification. This cookie identifies your authenticated session so you can access your account and tickets without re-verifying on every page load. The cookie persists for approximately thirty (30) days unless you clear it or sign out.
The Site does not use third-party cookies, advertising cookies, or cross-site tracking technologies.
6.2 Managing Cookies
You can clear the session cookie at any time through your browser settings. Clearing the cookie will require you to re-verify your phone number to regain access to your account.
6.3 Do Not Track
The Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals, because we do not engage in the cross-site tracking that such signals are designed to limit. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy.
7. How We Share Information
7.1 Service Providers
We share personal information with the following categories of service providers, strictly as necessary for them to perform services on our behalf and subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations:
| Service Provider | Purpose | Data Shared |

| Vercel, Inc. | Web application hosting | Site request logs, IP address |
These providers are contractually prohibited from using your personal information for their own purposes beyond providing services to us. Each provider maintains its own privacy policy governing its practices.
7.2 Legal and Compliance Disclosures
We may disclose personal information without further notice to you:
(a) In response to a subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process;
(b) When required by applicable law, including tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations;
(c) To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;

- Law enforcement may receive information as required by law or as appropriate for safety.
7.4 Anonymized or Aggregated Data
We may use and disclose anonymized or aggregated information that does not reasonably identify you for any lawful purpose, including improving our services, conducting research, and producing statistical reports about Event attendance or Site usage.
7.5 No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we have not sold personal information in the twelve (12) months preceding the Effective Date of this Privacy Policy.
7.6 No Sharing for Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising
We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (as that term is defined under applicable state law), and we have not done so in the twelve (12) months preceding the Effective Date.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to comply with our legal, accounting, and reporting obligations.
Typical retention periods:
- Account records (name, phone number, ticket records): retained while the account is active and for up to seven (7) years thereafter, for tax, accounting, and legal recordkeeping purposes.
- Transaction records: retained for at least seven (7) years, consistent with tax and accounting retention requirements.
- Event check-in and interactive participation records: retained for at least one (1) year following the Event, and longer if relevant to investigating a safety incident or other matter.
- SMS verification logs: retained for up to ninety (90) days for fraud prevention purposes.
- Server and security logs: retained for up to ninety (90) days, except where retention is necessary for investigation of a security incident.
- Communications with us (email, support requests): retained for up to three (3) years.
After the retention period expires, we will delete or de-identify personal information unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
9. Your Rights and Choices
9.1 General Rights
Subject to verification of your identity and applicable legal limitations, you may exercise the following rights with respect to your personal information:
(a) Right to Know / Access. You may request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you and, if so, a copy of that information.
(b) Right to Correct. You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.

10. Children
The Site is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, individuals under the age of eighteen (18). Events sold through the Site are restricted to persons aged eighteen (18) and older.
If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under eighteen (18), we will delete that information promptly. If you believe we may have collected information from a minor, contact us at support.signoresearchgroup@gmail.com.
11. Data Security
11.1 Safeguards
